Competitions in three age groups — Prince & Princess, Yuva Stars and King & Queen — are judged every night from the 11th to the 20th, free with your pass; the final night decides the winners. The competitions held on one night only are named on their cards.
A season or day pass covers the ten festival nights, 11–20 October. The two opening concerts are ticketed separately — a festival pass will not admit you on 9 or 10 October.

HOW THE WINNER IS DECIDED
Every night is scored out of 100. 20 for attendance, counted up to 9:30 PM; 30 for dress, of which 10 are for props worked into the costume from night 4; 50 for the dance.
Your best six of the nine scored nights count, plus the final night, and together they decide the winner and two runners-up in each category. Scores stay sealed until the last night; a tie goes to a ten-minute dance-off.
A badge each night marks your attendance. Your age on 11 October decides your category, and the committee’s decision is final.
Prizes for the winner and both runners-up in every category.

Free, and it takes a minute — it is how the committee knows how many dancers to judge in each category. Registration closes on 14 October.
Entering as a school, club or society? Register for the Practice Garba group competition — ₹7,500 a group of up to 20, first prize ₹1,00,000, closing 1 October.
Practice Garba groups must register and pay ₹7,500 per group of up to 20 in advance, and the fee is non-refundable. Judges’ decisions are final and binding.

Your family lights the lamp before the Goddess, with a decorated Thali provided. The balance of the offering is donated in full to the Gaushala. Be at the mandap desk by 8:30 PM; the 80G receipt is issued there against your PAN.
