What we keep, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
When you buy, we keep your name and the email and/or phone number you give us, along with what you bought and the passes we issued you. That is what lets us deliver your ticket, and find it again when you lose it.
Signing in with Google
Signing in with Google is optional for buyers and is how the event's organisers reach the organiser console. Either way, Google tells us exactly three things:
- your email address, which Google has verified;
- your name, as it appears on your Google account;
- a Google account identifier, so we recognise you next time even if your address changes.
We never receive your Google password, and we cannot see your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else in your Google account. We ask Google only for your basic profile and email.
We use those three things for one purpose: to sign you in and, for organisers, to decide whether your account may open the console. They are not used for advertising, not combined with data from anywhere else, and not shared with anyone.
How we measure the checkout
The checkout keeps a random identifier on your device — in the browser's local storage, not a cookie — and sends this site a note when you reach each step of buying, and when you tap a sponsor's mark. The note carries no name, contact detail or payment detail; it never leaves this site, is not used for advertising, and exists only so we can see where buyers give up. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Why we keep it
- To issue and deliver your passes and food orders.
- To let you find your tickets again, and to help at the Exception Desk at Gate No. 2 if you lose them.
- To decide who may open the organiser console, and to record which organiser made a change.
- To meet our accounting and safety obligations for the event.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't send you marketing you didn't ask for. We don't pass it to third parties for their own purposes. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by PhonePe and never stored by us.
Who handles your data for us
A few companies do one job each, and receive only what that job needs:
- PhonePe processes payments. Your card, UPI or bank details go to PhonePe and never reach us; we receive a payment reference and whether it succeeded.
- Google provides the sign-in and receives nothing from us beyond the sign-in itself. Its script loads only on the pages that offer it.
- Our email service receives your email address and your ticket links, to deliver them.
- Our WhatsApp provider, once delivery on WhatsApp is switched on, receives your mobile number and your ticket links, to deliver them.
None of them may use your details for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Ticket and order records are kept while the festival runs and afterwards for as long as our accounting obligations require. Sign-in details are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will, once any obligation to keep the record has passed.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting admin@sharehub.in. Revoking this site's access from your Google account permissions stops the Google sign-in immediately.
